The fifth of the festival series, Treaty Day Out Gippsland will bring its celebration of First Nations music and culture and the message of Treaty to Gunaikurnai Country in South-East Victoria. 

Featuring an incredible all First Nations line up including A.B. Original, Troy Cassar-Daley, Electric Fields, 3%, Emily Wurramara, Uncle Kutcha Edwards, Mpathsoul, Uncle Dave Arden, and Canisha, it's sure to be a deadly day for everyone to enjoy!

Treaty Day Out will be held at the Gippsland Sports and Entertainment Park (Falcons Club) in Morwell on Saturday, 8 February 2025.

  • CAR
    There will be plenty of parking on site,please turn into Fairway drive and you will be directed accordingly. 

    TRAIN
    Trains arrive into Morwell station (Princes Dr, Morwell VIC 3840). There will be festival shuttle busses doing loops between the station and the festival site. The shuttles will leave when full and return as needed. 

    Please note, the last train returning to Melbourne leaves Morwell Station at 8.28pm. This is before the end of Treaty Day Out so please consider this in your weekend planning. There is a Night Coach that leaves Morwell Station at 10.25pm. This service will depart from the train replacement coach stop. Please note PTV and VLine are subject to change this information at any time and we urge you to triple check your journey plans on the day of the event to ensure you are able to get to where you need to go.

  • General Admission tickets for Friends and Allies are $75.00 plus booking fees. Tickets for those enrolled with the First Peoples Assembly of Victoria are free, but registration is still compulsory as you will need a ticket for entry. For those who have registered their intent to enrol but have not yet enrolled, you will be required to enrol with one of our lovely staff at the gate on the day. Refunds are not available, with possible exemptions in the event of illness, COVID related matters and isolation requirements.

     

    This is an All-Ages event, patrons under 18 years must be directly accompanied by a parent/guardian. Alcohol will be available for purchase and can be consumed around the venue.

    Tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the event. The box office will be located at the front gate and main entry point and will be open from 12.00pm on February 8.

    If you wish to sign up to vote in the Treaty, the crew responsible to help you with that process will be close by.

  • TDO supports Companion Card.

    Simply ask your companion to present their companion card upon arrival at the festival box office and we will provide them with a ticket to the event.

    Accessible toilets will be available on site. If you require any assistance on the day please ask one of our staff or security.

  • This event will go ahead rain, hail or shine unless it is deemed dangerous or unsafe to go ahead. It is advised that you check the weather prior to attending and come prepared for the elements with appropriate attire, sunscreen, hat, poncho/jacket etc.

  • For safety reasons, once you’ve entered the point of entry, you will not be able to re-enter. There will be no pass outs permitted at this event unless in an emergency or medical situation. So please make sure to bring everything you need for the whole day/night.

  • Cloakroom facilities will be available for the duration of the event.

    We do not accept responsibility for any lost or damaged items.

    The cloakroom can be found inside the info tent and is free to use.

  • Smoking in the venue is prohibited.

    There will be a designated smoking area on the festival site, which can be found on the map or by asking a friendly team member on the day!

  • Seating will not be provided to ticket holders, however there will be limited scattered seating around the festival site. 

    You may bring your own chair or picnic blanket.

    Anyone with a chair is encouraged to sit towards the back, in front of the stage is for standing room only. 

  • ● You may bring a small quantity of your own food/snacks in a cooler bag, small esky or picnic basket.          

    • You may bring SEALED plastic bottles of water or soft drink. No glass.  

    • Fold up chairs and rug/picnic blanket.

    • Rain poncho, sensible footwear.

    • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be brought into the venue, this event is strictly no BYO 

    • Glass of any kind is not permitted (including glass drink bottles)  

    MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INSPECT OR SEARCH ANY CLOTHING, BAGS, CONTAINERS OR PACKAGES YOU INTEND TO BRING INTO THE VENUE. THIS INCLUDES A PAT-DOWN, BAG SEARCH OR INSPECTION BY SCREENING EQUIPMENT.

    • Dogs or pets, with the only exception being service/assistance animals. Documentation for the animal must be provided.

    • Generators, gas bottles, BBQs or any forms of cooking devices

  • There will be a range of food trucks with food and drinks available for purchase throughout the day including menu items for intolerances and vegetarian / vegan patrons. 

    Alcohol will be available for purchase and can be consumed around the venue.

    Free drinking water will be available in the venue and patrons may bring in empty plastic bottles for this purpose. 

    You may bring a small quantity of your own food/snacks in a cooler bag, small esky or picnic basket.

  • There will be a licensed bar on-site serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons over the age of 18.

    To access the bar – YOU NEED TO BRING VALID PHOTO ID. 

    Valid photo ID includes one of the following:

    – Current Australian driver’s license

    – Current Passport

    – Current state issued Proof of Age Card or equivalent issued in an Australian state or territory

  • Bands will have merchandise for sale at the merch stand and there will be an exclusive range of Treaty Day Out goodies available on the day too.

  • There will be no ATM facilities on site so please bring cash and/or credit or debit card for payments.

  • First aid will be available at the event, if you feel unwell please visit the first aid tent.

    By entering the event or venue, and using the event medical facilities, you consent (consent or implied) to allow third parties to receive personal information from the medical service providers that has been obtained during treatment, during and/or after the event.

  • There will be plenty of toilets on site and available at TDO. There won’t be any toilets outside of the venue and venue access will not be allowed before gates open at 12.00pm.

  • COVID-19 still exists. It is the responsibility of each attendee to be aware of current and relevant government guidelines and directives. Our event management team will do our best to work with our audience to promote general health and safety.

  • If you lose something contact the event team who can be easily located at the INFO tent. Please be ready to fill in documentation which includes your full name, a contact phone number and as many details as possible about the item.

  • No flash photography. No long recording on devices is permitted and no blocking other patrons while filming.

  • Please be respectful of the environment and place any litter in the recycle or other bins provided. You must not damage, improperly use, or tamper with any property on the event site, or intentionally or recklessly cause any damage or interference to the area surrounding the event site.

     When exiting the event site, please ensure you have all your belongings. Treaty Day Out will not be responsible for any of your property left on site, after the show.

  • Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food, but we encourage you to support the food vendors serving throughout the event.

  • Absolutely! There will be a variety of food vendors offering delicious options, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices.

  • No. Treaty Day Out Gippsland has a strictly enforced liquor license. Security will be conducting bag checks, and bringing alcohol onto the site may result in a significant fine.

  • Yes! There will be a licensed bar on-site serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

  • Yes! Please bring a reusable water bottle to refill throughout the day. Free refill stations will be available on-site to keep you hydrated.

  • The event will go ahead rain or shine! While some areas will be covered, other areas may get muddy—so dress appropriately and wear sturdy shoes.

  • Yes, all attendees must bring valid ID, regardless of age.

  • No, pets are not permitted at Treaty Day Out Gippsland.

    Exception: Registered assistance animals are allowed, but you must provide documentation to security upon entry.

  • Your safety is our top priority. If you experience harassment or feel unsafe, please report it immediately to security or event staff (who will be wearing high-vis vests). We take all concerns seriously and will respond accordingly.

    • Festival crew in high-visibility vests and security will be available to assist.

    • We strongly recommend writing your contact details on the wristband of underage attendees upon arrival.

    • In case of separation, go directly to the Info Tent and provide a description of the missing person.

    • Please note: We do not make announcements over the loudspeaker for lost persons.

    • Visit the Info Tent to check for lost items.

    • The team will ask you to fill out a lost property form and provide contact details.

    • If found, we will contact you as soon as possible.

  • We cannot guarantee that all vendors will accept cash. However, cash purchases can be made at the box office for tickets. We recommend bringing a card for ease of payment.

  • There will be no public charging stations on-site. We strongly recommend bringing a portable power bank to keep your phone charged.

  • Parking will be available on-site and in nearby designated areas. Closer parking areas may fill up quickly, so we recommend arriving early to secure a spot.

  • Yes. Designated accessible parking will be available close to the main entrance. A valid disability parking permit must be displayed to access this area.

  • Yes! Treaty Day Out Gippsland is designed to be inclusive and accessible for all attendees. The event site features:
